About us

A platform for best practices in sustainable transition, founded in 2012 in Les Diablerets (Vaud Alps, Switzerland), the Moving Mountains Association connects concrete projects for a sustainable future in mountain regions, addressing the significant challenges posed by climate change and societal evolution.

Its annual forum, held each summer at the end of August, provides a unique space for bringing together worlds that rarely have the opportunity to engage in discussion: representatives of mountain communities, regional and national authorities, academics, tourism, and mountain economy professionals, as well as cultural, social, and civil society actors from Switzerland and beyond. Concrete projects are presented, and key issues that directly affect them are debated.
